Motivating Adult Learners

Here is my video-having many issues/obstacles  and hope this is sufficient.  I have also placed this video on teacher tube. ENJOY.

  1. RaKinah, Good Morning. Due to time I am going through the peer review in sessions.
I liked... Introduced yourself and your presenter. Strong facts and faces with your topic "Adult Learners"
You, Sherri, and Jason gave the conference place. Added music.
    It was very interesting.
    Thank you,
    Debi

  2. Hi RaKinah,
I would have to agree with Debi, in that I like the fact that you gave yourself credit by introducing yourself to the audience. I totally forgot about that. You also provided a lot of information about your topic. I am not sure what tool you use to edit your video, but windows maker is a great tool for editing.

  3. Hi RaKinah,

Great opening defining the adult learner and the pressures they experience to continue their education and their sources of motivation. You made a great point acknowledging that their perceptions of the workload required in distance education courses is often quite underestimated.

The end of your presentation had quite a bit of blank screen. That might be a great place to put in a static image just so the viewer has something to look at as you wrap up your presentation.

    Really nice job on this!

    Cheers,
    Margaret

  4. Hello RaKinah
I have to admit I had not considered many of the reasons you gave as motivation for adult learning for example --meeting people. My only comment (meant in the best possible way) would be to slow your speech down to give the older generation (me) time to absorb the statements. Great job Helen

  5. Hi Rakinah. As Margaret pointed out, the end of your video has a lot of blank screen. Since your only original video shot (your introduction of the guest speaker) overlaps your narration, and since your visuals seem to be static slides, I suspect that your "video" is a PowerPoint presentation put into a video format. I think your video would be much stronger with many more "moving" images to support your topic. See what you can do!

    Tim.

  6. RaKinah,

I enjoyed how sharp and colorful the images you used for your video turned out. You also gave a lot of helpful information about your subject.

    Regards,

    Jason
